Artist's Description
Can Cau market is a place that very few tourists go, mainly because the road is so awful even by Vietnamese standards. Saturday (the day on which we went) is the main day for the market. The people come from far and wide and most seem to make a full day out of it. Enjoying the nightlife and social aspect as much as the basic trading of goods and wares. However the sights, sounds and smells were in such rich abundance that photographic opportunities abounded. The diversity of the ethnic groups provided a real visual delight however I have never experienced bathroom “facilities” quite like it.

I could give you a lengthy bio and artist statement, but who really cares about all that anyway? So here's the concise version: I am a simple man who loves making photographs and spending time with my wife and young kids. I am a Scot living in England. They call me a sassanach. I call myself a Manc. I am fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time on personal projects, traveling and collaborating with a team of great people.
